Where clean design meets thoughtful details and a relaxed approach. No matter what you need—a brand, website, print piece, or photos—I help make it feel effortless, personal, and just right for you.

No fluff, no fuss—just creative work that reflects who you are and what you’re building (or dreaming up). Take a look at my Portfolio to see how these ideas come to life.

Welcome to the Studio

Thoughtful design, built with heart—and usually a good cup of coffee.

Why Saltwood?

Salt stands for honesty, texture, and the everyday things that shape us—plus a little salt is delicious in espresso. It’s also a nod to my roots in Eastern North Carolina. My dad’s side of the family came from Portsmouth island, just across the water from Ocracoke, and eventually made their way to Oriental. That salty air, that weathered strength—it’s part of who I am and it shapes how I approach every project: with authenticity, attention to detail, and respect for what makes your story unique.

Wood brings warmth, creativity, and a sense of something lasting. It’s about building things that feel natural, solid, and a little bit beautiful—designs that work for you today and grow with you tomorrow.

Together, Saltwood is a reminder to keep things real, thoughtful, and grounded—in design, in photography, and in life. Working with me means your ideas get the care, clarity, and heart they deserve.

The name blends contrasts—grit and growth.

Meet Jenn

Hey, I’m Jenn—a small-town creative with a deep love for clean lines, earthy colors, and helping people bring their ideas to life.

My husband and I have been small business owners for over 16 years, and along the way, I’ve handled all the branding and design—not just for us, but for other local ventures and personal projects too. Saltwood Studio is where all that experience finally comes together, which means I know how to make your brand feel professional, personal, and workable in real life.

I pay close attention to the details but never take myself too seriously. Expect plenty of coffee, quite a few laughs, and a calm, no-pressure process that always leaves room for your ideas.

Because good design should always feel approachable—and a little personality never hurts.

Team Saltwood

Can’t forget my coworkers!

They handle quality control, morale, and mischief—and make sure I take some breaks. Truly a dream team.

They make sure every project is done with care (and a little fun), so your work is in good hands.
